February 26th 2020 I had officially been travelling for three years straight. My “Round the World Adventure” was drawing to a close and even though I was incredibly happy (and a little proud) that I managed my stated goal of travelling full time for three years, the nostalgia was setting in… I don’t like it when things are drawing to a close, I don’t like it when things end…

I only got to see the cathedral in Bogotá and have lunch with my new, French friend Laura, before succumbing to food poisoning… It was bad. It was real bad.
But that’s not really Bogotá’s fault, so let’s not judge.

The city of Medellin is divided into communes. Comuna 13 consists of thousands of brightly colored houses at the top of a very steep hill and is different from the other 15 comunas because of the enormous amount of colorful street art and graffiti.

I’d been travelling the world by myself for almost exactly three years at this point, and THIS is where my brother decides my travel plans are insane…
To be fair, he’s also the one that contacted the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs because he thought I was lost in Malawi…

After being brought up on war movies by my older brother, (thanks, bro), I knew that even if I were to miss everything else in Vietnam, I would make sure to see the Cu Chi Tunnels.
