France :: Keeping the mind busy (moving to Paris)

“Life asked death, ‘Why do people love me but hate you?’ Death responded, ‘Because you are a beautiful lie and I am a painful truth.”

To live in Paris, my favourite city, and attend language school for at least three months to get my French up to speed. This has been on my Bucket List for years. I had originally planned it to be the final stop for my trip, but with everything that happened with Eystein, I need to not roam aimlessly for a while. I need something to keep me busy, to keep my mind from thinking of him, us and our story for at least a few hours each day…

I have booked with AirBnB all the way through November and start school September 3rd. I’ll be learning French full time for 12 weeks hoping to get to a decent level before leaving. There’s no other plan. I’ll be drinking tea, listening to French podcasts and reading all the Jack Reacher novels again in my spare time. I will be doing some aimless roaming around Paris, but I will have a schedule and something to keep me busy.

I’ll be attending classes at France Langue close to the Arc de Triomphe so if anyone wants to come visit me you are more than welcome. I am living in a tiny flat with a sleeper sofa for one person and literally no room to even put a mattress on the floor, but if you can afford a hostel or hotel Paris is pretty awesome and I would love to see you ❤
