Hawaii: The Windward Tour

So the hostel I’m staying at give tours. They load their van up with hostelers, you pay 25 dollars and you get driven around to see something other than Waikiki. Excellent stuff.

I signed up, got Ewnett with me and got in the van. Margaret was our guide for the day and she drove us through rainforest, to Kailua, to Lanikai Beach, Sandy Beach (famous for its waves and I could see why) and on to several lookout points and the Blowhole! We stopped in Kailua (meaning “toilet water”, nice name, people… good choice :-P) to have lunch, traditional Hawaiian cuisine and generally had an allout good time. I was exhausted again when we got back, the good, old “so many impressions” kind of tired… Unfortunately, my camera is pretty crappy so it really doesn’t convey the fantastic views we got… (but I guess that’s just another reason for you to come see for yourself) 😉
