“I don’t quite know what today was about, really…”
– Karen
I had so many things on my list for Vietnam that when they slashed 5 days off my visa I was quite annoyed, this spurred me to book Mekong Delta as soon as I arrived at my hotel in Ho Chi Minh.
I don’t know if it was the random fruit testing, the “band” singing local songs and ending it with “If you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands”, the voluntary trying of “snake wine” (liquor with a bunch of dead snakes in it, of course I drank it!), the random horse drawn carriage ride taking us to the alligator farm where we ate elephant fish, or the holding of a tray full of bees, but I have to agree with my new Irish friend, Karen, who I met on my Mekong Delta trip. While we were leaving she said “I don’t quite know what today was about, really…”
The trip was cool though, worth the money as we got to see a lot of stuff, it was just really random ;-D
I booked it through my hotel, Saigon Inncrowd 2 in Ho Chi Minh city. They use KIM Travel and I was very happy with the guide, the transport and the tour itself in all it craziness… Also, I recruited two new lovely people from Ireland for my gang of travel friends. Loved hanging out with you, Karen and Mike, come see me in Norway! ❤
