This day we got to cross Lock & Load off our list of things to do. It was awesome! I’ve never shot with anything bigger than a handgun before and I got to spend a portion of my day tearing up targets with stuff that goes boomboom very fast and very loud.
[THE EVERGLADES * KEY WEST * LOCK & LOAD]
I’m quite partial to the M4, myself. (Check me out, sounding like I know what the hell I’m saying…) Our “guide” was a guy called Max and he was just cool. Very helpful (at least for me, Eystein didn’t need any help, really), and an allround steady guy. It was very different to what I thought it would be, without being able to explain it better than that. I had more control of the weapon than I thought I would have for a first timer (not saying I hit the target exactly the way I wanted though, those things where heavy and I was a bit all oover the place), but I had such a blast (oh, harrz teh moar punz!), I really want to do it again π
The remainder of the day was spent eating lunch at Jimmy Johns (best subs in the world #NoJoke), window shopping and, you guessed it, food and drinks. That pretty much sums up today too. Big Pink for breakfast and Finnegan’s Way for drinks and an early dinner. Now Eystein has left for Norway and I’m waiting for my shuttle to take me to the airport to continue my journey. Onwards to San Francisco, Tiril and Priscilla.
Thanks for being awesome and relaxing, Miami β€
