The city of Medellin is divided into communes. Comuna 13 consists of thousands of brightly colored houses at the top of a very steep hill and is different from the other 15 comunas because of the enormous amount of colorful street art and graffiti.

Aaah, New Orleans… The only place on my three years and two weeks of travelling that I got assaulted… I mention this to most people not to trash on the US, but to open peoples’ eyes a bit as most people I talk to seem to think it completely obvious that the most dangerous places I’ve travelled are all in Africa, with the possible exception of one or two places in Asia.

New Zealand. My favourite country to visit. I thought for a bright second that I would save my budget and skip New Zealand so I could spend the money on a country I hadn’t already visited… Twice. But then I came to my senses. Like I’m -ever- going to skip New Zealand, especially when I’m already in those parts of the world. What a facepalm thought.

It’s kinda funny that I had never been to Berlin before this trip, but I’d been to Mannheim, Heidelberg and other small places no one else ever went to. I decided to follow that up by visiting Paderborn…
